All processes for the processing of users’ personal data are set up to comply with current legal standards, in particular with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”), as well as Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data and on Amendments to Certain Acts (“the Act”).

 

Rights and obligations of the controller

2troubletrvelers (hereinafter referred to as the controller) has the right to collect personal data for the following purposes:

To improve the quality of the content of the controller. The data you provide helps us to better understand your interests and tailor our content to them. We may use the data and feedback collected to understand how users use the information and resources provided on our site. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide the service.

For promotion, research, statistics, or other site function in accordance with the user’s granted consent.

The operator has a duty to ensure that the personal data provided is protected.

The Operator has the right to disclose all available information about users to authorized authorities in the event of a violation of the legal norms of the Slovak Republic or of the state in which the user is located.

The Operator has the right to discontinue the provision of its services, whether for a definite, indefinite or permanent period. The operator also has the right to shut down the server at any time, even without prior notice, without specifying the reasons.

The Operator is not responsible for the accuracy and validity of third party information and sources. The information provided is purely informative and was valid at the time of publication on the Operator’s website.

 

User rights and obligations

The user has the right to use the services of the controller, has the right to contact the controller and to provide personal data to the controller. He also has the right to withdraw his consent to the processing of his personal data at any time. The user also has the right to access, amend, supplement and delete the personal data provided.

The user also has the right to lodge a complaint if he/she believes that the processing of his/her personal data is in breach of the GDPR or other legislation governing the protection of personal data. He has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in the Slovak Republic the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic, headquarters Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, Slovak Republic, e-mail: statny.dozor@pdp.gov.sk, tel.: +421 /2/ 3231 3214, web: https://dataprotection.gov.sk/uoou/sk.

The user has the right to use the information provided by the operator for his/her private needs and to distribute this content for non-commercial use, even without the operator’s consent, indicating the source, including a backlink to www.2troubletravelers.com.

Any dissemination of the Operator’s content (both textual and visual) for commercial use in the media or on third-party websites is prohibited without the Operator’s prior consent. The exception is the sharing of the Operator’s content on third-party social networks, with attribution to the source, including a backlink to www.2troubletravelers.com.

The user is obliged to comply with the legal norms of the country in which he is located, as well as the legal norms of the Slovak Republic.

 

Processing of personal data

We only process personal data to the extent necessary (in particular, first name, last name and e-mail contact). We process users’ personal data solely to provide information about our content in accordance with the user’s prior consent. We adhere to the principle of purpose minimisation of the processing of personal data set out in the GDPR, according to which the controller may only collect personal data for specifically identified, explicitly stated and legitimate purposes.

We do not process special categories of personal data, so-called sensitive personal data.

The controller processes the following personal data:

  1. Name, surname and e-mail address in the case of registration on the website of the controller, provision of materials, in the case of contests, giveaways or surveys and for marketing purposes on the basis of prior consent.
  2. Cookies and IP addresses to remember user settings, to better tailor advertisements to visitors’ interests and for the necessary functionality of websites.

In processing the personal data provided, the controller is guided by Article 6(1)(a) GDPR: the data subject has consented to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes, and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. (f) GDPR: the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require the protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child (within the meaning of Recital 47 of the GDPR, the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes may be considered a legitimate interest of the controller).

 

Collection, disclosure and retention of personal data

The controller obtains personal data exclusively from the user, it does not obtain it from third parties.

The controller protects the user’s personal data, does not disclose or make available to third parties.

The controller shall keep the user’s personal data for the duration of the existence of the 2troubletravelers.com website. After this period, the operator undertakes to delete the user’s personal data.
