It is often referred to as the &#8220;Ubud of Lombok&#8221;, especially because everywhere you look you will find beautiful rice fields, which are an important part of the local community.</p>
<p>In this article you will find 7 places not to be missed during your visit to Tetebatu. Included are tips on beautiful waterfalls, activities in the area and also great gastronomy.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h2>How to get to Tetebatu Lombok</h2>
<p>If you decide to visit the village of Tetebatu, you have three options.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Stay for a few days in a local homestay</h3>
<p>The first one is to come to Tetebatu for a few days, during which you will visit the most beautiful places and enjoy the great rural atmosphere. If you rent a scooter or a car, you can get here from Bangsal harbour in about 2 hours.</p>
<p>In this area you will find a large number of <strong>homestays</strong>, where you will be looked after by your hosts. We really loved this kind of accommodation because we stayed in the middle of rice fields, the owners cooked great food for us and the bonus? It all cost us 7,5€ per person.</p>
<p>Accommodation tip: <a href="https://booking.tpk.mx/jXcepCyc" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>Sarang Walet Homestay</strong></a>, which also has an excellent restaurant.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none meta_simple"><div class="w-image-h"><img decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div><div class="w-image-meta"><div class="w-image-title">Sarang Walet Homestay is located in the middle of the rice fields.</div></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Day trip to Tetebatu from Kuta or Senggigi</h3>
<p>The second option is to come for a day trip from another part of Lombok, e.g. from <strong>Kuta</strong> or <strong>Senggigi</strong>. In this case, we recommend booking a personal driver to guide you around the selected sites. You can book a driver at <a href="https://getyourguide.tpk.mx/PUuiQgXQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link.</a> If you have a motorbike or a car, you can also arrive on your own. From Senggigi or Kuta you can get here in 1.5 hours.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Organised group trip</h3>
<p>The third option is to take a group trip. You can see the offer of such trips on <a href="https://getyourguide.tpk.mx/ODaHa0Aj" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link.</a></p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h2>TOP 7 places in Tetebatu Lombok</h2>
<p>But let&#8217;s talk about what not to miss during your visit to Tetebatu. In this list you will find not only tips for places and activities, but also our favourite restaurants where you can enjoy the best local cuisine.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>1. Rice fields in Tetebatu</h3>
<p>The main reason why people travel to Tetebatu is because of the rice fields that are all around. So it&#8217;s up to you whether you decide to ride a motorbike through them or choose to walk. If you&#8217;re looking for a place that looks nice from a drone&#8217;s point of view, we recommend <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/iJV8AYSoNC2FX2pb7">this place</a>.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-lombok-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-lombok-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-lombok-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tetebatu-rice-fields-lombok.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>2. Benang Stokel</h3>
<p>Just a 40-minute motorbike ride from the heart of Tetebatu, you’ll find the stunning twin waterfalls of Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu nestled in lush jungle surroundings. You pay 5K IDR to park here and then you have to buy a entrance ticket. If you decide to visit Benang Stokel Waterfall and Benang Kelambu Waterfall, you will pay IDR 90K per person to enter. A guide is included in the price.</p>
<p>From the car park, the first waterfall, Benang Stokel, can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. You can then continue another 15-20 minutes on foot through the forest to reach the second waterfall, Benang Kelambu. The other alternative is to return halfway back to the road and continue with the scooter to the second waterfall, which will take about 5-10 minutes. However, the route is rocky and steep, so we recommend it only for experienced drivers.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/benang-stokel-tetebatu-lombok-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/benang-stokel-tetebatu-lombok-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/benang-stokel-tetebatu-lombok-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/benang-stokel-tetebatu-lombok.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>3. Benang Kelambu</h3>
<p>Benang Kelambu really surprised us and to this day we still rank it among the most beautiful waterfalls in the whole of Indonesia. It consists of several streams of water falling through lush greenery, which gives it its uniqueness. There is also a small local stand where you can buy small snacks or coffee.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Benang-kelambu-tetebat_lombok-1024x768.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Benang-kelambu-tetebat_lombok-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Benang-kelambu-tetebat_lombok-300x225.jpg 300w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Benang-kelambu-tetebat_lombok.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></div></div><div class="w-message color_blue"><div class="w-message-body"><p>ATTENTION! It is forbidden for women to swim in swimsuits at the waterfall. So you need to bring a sarong or clothes to go in the water.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>4. Monkey Forest</h3>
<p>Another place that is definitely worth a visit is Monkey Forest. And not just any! In the wild, you can see black monkeys, which are rarer in Indonesia than e.g. long-tailed macaques, which you will meet at every turn in Lombok. The entrance fee is IDR 30,000, and upon entering, you will likely be approached by several locals who will want to accompany you.</p>
<p>We visited the forest twice and both times without a guide. However, we only saw black monkeys for the second time, which we attribute mainly to the fact that we were there in the morning.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/monkey-forest-tetebatu-lombok-1-819x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/monkey-forest-tetebatu-lombok-1-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/monkey-forest-tetebatu-lombok-1-240x300.jpg 240w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/monkey-forest-tetebatu-lombok-1.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>5. Warung Monkey Forest</h3>
<p>While you&#8217;re in the area around Monkey Forest, we recommend grabbing lunch at the local Warung Monkey Forest restaurant. It&#8217;s only a few minutes away, so it&#8217;s the perfect place to cool off and relax a bit before heading off on your next adventure.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Bali_restaurants-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Bali_restaurants-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Bali_restaurants-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/Bali_restaurants-scaled.jpg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>6. Air Terjun Sarang Walet</h3>
<p>Tetebatu is an area full of beautiful and unusual places, and it&#8217;s no different with the Air Terjun Sarang Walet Waterfall. It is a waterfall located &#8220;in a cave&#8221; and is often referred to as an underground waterfall. You will find it located in the middle of the rice fields. The entry fee is IDR 30K plus a nominal parking fee of IDR 2K.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><p>In addition to Lombok, you can also visit the <a href="https://2troubletravelers.com/en/gili-islands-in-indonesia-which-gili-island-to-choose-and-why/"><strong data-start="297" data-end="313">Gili Islands</strong></a>, which are only a few minutes away from Lombok by boat.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>7. Ima&#8217;s Cafe &amp; Orchid</h3>
<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a great place for coffee, breakfast or lunch, we definitely recommend a visit to Ima&#8217;s Cafe &amp; Orchid. This place is a bit out of the way as there are no tourist attractions nearby, but it is definitely worth the 15 minute motorbike ride. In addition to a great selection of food and drinks, the café has a beautiful setting, garden and pond. We felt really great there.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Imas-Cafe-Orchid-tetebatu-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Imas-Cafe-Orchid-tetebatu-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Imas-Cafe-Orchid-tetebatu-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/Imas-Cafe-Orchid-tetebatu-scaled.jpg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><p>Tetebatu has quickly become one of our favourite parts of Lombok. Compared to Bali, it is a quieter and less explored island, but it has a lot to offer to tourists.</p>
<p>One of the most popular parts of Lombok is the south of the island, where you can enjoy beautiful beaches, great surfing conditions and an amazing atmosphere. We are talking about Kuta, which is often compared to the Canggu area on the island of Bali. However, it has two main differences &#8211; you won&#8217;t find crowded roads here and instead of polluted black sand beaches, you will find white sand beaches with clear water. In this article you&#8217;ll find detailed information on how to get here, where to stay, what to do + bonus tips for great gastronomy.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>How to get by air to Kuta Lombok?</h3>
<p>The easiest way to get to Kuta is to fly into <strong>Bandar Udara Internasional Lombok</strong> International Airport, which is just 20 minutes by car from the city. It operates daily domestic flights from Bali or Jakarta, as well as international flights from Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>How to get from Bali to Kuta Lombok?</h3>
<p>The second way to reach Lombok is by boat from <strong>Bali</strong> or the <strong>Gili</strong> Islands. In this case, you will probably arrive at <strong>Bangsal</strong> port, from where it will take approximately 2-2.5 hours to get to Kuta, depending on traffic. You can book a private driver or take a taxi, which will be offered by dozens of locals at the port. Another option is to rent a car or motorbike directly at the port. If you want to avoid the hassle of transport, you can conveniently book a complete transfer from Bali to Kuta (boat + minibus) via <a href="https://12go.tpk.mx/pXld29Q6" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link</a>.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Best time to visit Kuta, Lombok</h3>
<p>The best time to visit Lombok is during the dry season, which begins in <strong>March</strong> and ends in <strong>October</strong>. However, the weather can be very unpredictable during March and April, so be prepared for unexpected showers. The advantage, however, is that after the rainy season you will find beautiful green nature and rolling hills everywhere.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none meta_simple"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="819" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/pantai-ketapak-1024x819.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/pantai-ketapak-1024x819.jpg 1024w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/pantai-ketapak-300x240.jpg 300w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/pantai-ketapak.jpg 1500w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></div><div class="w-image-meta"><div class="w-image-title">During the dry season, Lombok offers its most beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water and white sand.</div></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Where to stay in Kuta, Lombok?</h3>
<p>The best area to live in for tourists is the <strong>centre of</strong> Kuta. In this case, you will have everything at your fingertips, whether we are talking about shops, restaurants or cafes. A great choice for accommodation is <a href="https://booking.tpk.mx/NCd2BqM1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cewin&#8217;s Homestay</a>, for which you will pay about 20€ per night.</p>
<p>The other alternative is to live directly on Kuta&#8217;s urban beach. A great alternative is, for example, the <a href="https://booking.tpk.mx/1OafwUSx" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bungalow and Restaurant Anda</a>. If you are travelling to Kuta mainly for surfing, you may want to consider staying at a surf camp so you can have your community close by. A great place is for example <a href="https://12go.tpk.mx/N6wtqBtj" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LoTide Surf Camps Lombok</a>.</p>
<p>You can find the whole offer of accommodation in Kuta on <a href="https://12go.tpk.mx/S4aNAqQL" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link</a>.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>The most beautiful beaches around Kuta</h3>
<p>The most beautiful beaches of Lombok are located on the southern coast, which is why Kuta and its surroundings can be considered a popular tourist destination. Although Kuta&#8217;s urban beach is nothing special, if you have a car or motorbike, you&#8217;ll see some of the most beautiful beaches in Indonesia. Most of them are within 30 minutes from Kuta. Here&#8217;s a list of our favourites:</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4><strong>Tanjung Ann</strong></h4>
<p>You can get here in about 15-20 minutes from the centre of Kuta. You&#8217;ll find great local warungs along the beach and enjoy undisturbed relaxation.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tanjung-ann-lombok-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tanjung-ann-lombok-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tanjung-ann-lombok-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/tanjung-ann-lombok.jpg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4>Selong Belanag</h4>
<p>A crescent-shaped beach with fine white sand and clear water. To get here you will have to take a 40 minute scooter ride. You will pay IDR 10k for parking here. Surfing enthusiasts will also find their place here, as the conditions are ideal for beginners. Right on the beach you will find local warungs and also many surf schools and rental shops.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="576" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/selong-beach-lombok-1024x576.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/selong-beach-lombok-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/selong-beach-lombok-300x169.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4>Mawun Beach</h4>
<p>Located 20-25 minutes from Kuta. It is a quiet bay with ideal conditions for swimming. The beach is also surrounded by hills, so you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. You can buy snacks or cold coconut on the beach.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawun-beach-kuta-lombok-819x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawun-beach-kuta-lombok-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawun-beach-kuta-lombok-240x300.jpg 240w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawun-beach-kuta-lombok.jpg 1200w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_54e7f678"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4>Mawi Beach</h4>
<p>It is located west of Kuta. It will take you about 45 minutes to get here. The access to the beach is a bit more complicated than it was with the previous beaches, so you need to drive carefully (especially if it rained the day before your visit, because there will be mud everywhere). This beach is less developed, so those looking for untouched nature will find it particularly appealing. The sea is also a bit rougher here, so you have to be really careful when swimming.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="1024" height="768" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawi-beach-lombok-1024x768.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawi-beach-lombok-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawi-beach-lombok-300x225.jpg 300w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/mawi-beach-lombok.jpg 1600w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h3>Other activities in Kuta and its surroundings</h3>
<p>Of course, beaches aren&#8217;t the only thing you&#8217;ll find in the area. Also worth mentioning is the peak of <strong>Bukit Merese</strong>, which is a popular place to watch the sunset in particular. It is located next to Tajung Ann Beach. So you can spend the day relaxing or surfing on the beach and then move on to the magical end of the day. It is a viewpoint surrounded by rolling green hills. If you visit this place after the rainy season (i.e. in March, April, May), you will really enjoy all shades of green here.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-lombok-819x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-lombok-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-lombok-240x300.jpg 240w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-lombok.jpg 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><p>To get to the top, you only need to walk about 5 minutes from the parking lot. We dare say that almost the whole city goes to this place to watch the sunset! We were here every night. You will pay IDR 10K for parking and there are also a few small stalls or vendors offering chilled drinks and souvenirs.</p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="819" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-819x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere-240x300.jpg 240w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/bukit-mesere.jpg 1080w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 819px) 100vw, 819px" /></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4>Pink Beach Kuta Lombok</h4>
<p>You can also take a trip to the so-called <strong>Pink Beach</strong>. However, this beach is located quite far away, so if you go here on a scooter, you should be prepared for a journey of about 1.5 hours (one way). If you don&#8217;t feel up to it, you can also come here as part of group trips, which you can book for example on <a href="https://getyourguide.tpk.mx/qpiyeXKN" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link</a>.</p>
<p>On the beach you will find beautiful clear water and pink sand, but it may not be quite as pink as you may have seen in the photos on Instagram. We also had the opportunity to visit the pink beaches in Komodo National Park, which were definitely more beautiful. However, if you have enough time in Kuta, you can choose this as an alternative.</p>
</div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><h4>Tetebatu Lombok</h4>
<p>From Kuta, you can also explore other parts of Lombok Island. Very popular is e.g. a trip to the central part of the island, specifically to the area of Tetebatu. Read more about what to see in Tetebatu in the article <a href="https://2troubletravelers.com/en/7-places-you-must-visit-in-tetebatu-lombok/">7 places you must visit in Tetebatu, Lombok!</a> You can check out the excursions on offer from Kuta at <a href="https://getyourguide.tpk.mx/ODaHa0Aj" target="_blank" rel="noopener">this link</a>.</p>

<p>Kuta is the most developed area of the entire island of Lombok. In addition to local warungs, you will find many international restaurants and beautiful fancy cafes where you can enjoy not only a great coffee but also an all-day brunch. It is worth mentioning, for example, <strong>Munchies</strong>, or <strong>Kenza Café Lombok</strong>, which are located almost next to each other. Both cafés have a spacious, air-conditioned interior where you will meet many digital nomads on a daily basis. If you&#8217;re looking for something cosier, then definitely visit <strong>Mushroom Espresso Mandalika.</strong></p>
</div></div><div class="w-image us_custom_54e7f678 align_none meta_simple"><div class="w-image-h"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="768" height="1024" src="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/munchies-kuta-lombok-768x1024.jpg" class="attachment-large size-large" alt="" srcset="https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/munchies-kuta-lombok-768x1024.jpg 768w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/munchies-kuta-lombok-225x300.jpg 225w, https://2troubletravelers.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/munchies-kuta-lombok.jpg 1920w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px" /></div><div class="w-image-meta"><div class="w-image-title">Munchies.</div></div></div><div class="wpb_text_column us_custom_50cc7d67"><div class="wpb_wrapper"><p>Among the local restaurants, we recommend visiting <strong>Warung Bude</strong> or <strong>Warung Ombak</strong>. If you&#8217;re travelling &#8220;low cost&#8221; then be sure to visit <strong>Boom Burger</strong>, where you can enjoy a chicken burger for a whopping €1.2.</p>
<p>Kuta really has everything one can expect from a holiday in Indonesia. Great holiday atmosphere, beautiful sunsets, beaches and many possibilities for activities and excursions. So if you are going to Lombok, this part is definitely not to be missed!</p>
